Kathy Slovick is a resident of Glen Ellyn and has lived in DuPage County for over 30 years. Kathy has been a community volunteer. A founder of DAWN Community Advocates, she continues her involvement in voter registration. She is a member of the Glen Ellyn League of Women Voters, National Organization of Women ( NOW ) , and Sierra Club. She is a past member of the Glen Ellyn Kiwanis, and continues to volunteer in the community. . She has won several awards including the Kit Phau voting rights award, the Glen Ellyn League of Women Voters Phyllis Renfro Award , and Citizen Advocacy's Citizen's initiative Award.
A local writer and columnist for over a decade, there isn't one aspect of suburban life that Kathy hasn't written " the book" about. Whether it's the community clubs, shopping, restaurants, and places to have fun, transportation, or schools, Kathy is your " go- to " on the 'burbs!
